Chiann Fan-Gibson, DMD, and James H. Arnold, DDS, FACE, are distinguished cosmetic dentists who comprise the team of Smiles by Dr. Gibson & Associates. Drs. Chiann Fan-Gibson, DMD, completed her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree at the Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where she later served as a clinical instructor for the Department of Restorative Dentistry. She completed additional post-graduate training at the Center for Esthetic Excellence in Chicago and the Hornbrook Center for Advanced Clinical Education. Dr. Gibson is a gifted author and speaker who is frequently asked to lecture on restorative dentistry topics, both nationally and internationally. Dr. Gibson was featured on the cover of the American Association of Women Dentistsmagazine. She is a proud member of many professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Association of Women Dentists, the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the Fox Valley Dental Society and the Illinois State Dental Society.
James H. Arnold, DDS, FACE, graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, where he earned the American Student Dental Association Award of Excellence and the Indiana Dental Association Award for Leadership. Dr. Arnold continued his education at numerous post-graduate dental institutions, including the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies; the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum in San Francisco, California; the Esthetic Epitome in Charlotte, North Carolina; the Hornbrook Group in Los Angeles, California and Houston, Texas; the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington; the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida; and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in St. Petersburg, Florida. He has also been trained in laser dentistry through the World Clinical Laser Institute. As one of the founders of the World Institute for Dental Education, Dr. Arnold has taught advanced dental techniques in several other countries. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Crown Council, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics.
