Steven A. Koos, DDS, MD, is a premier Chicago dentist providing oral, maxillofacial and implant surgery for patients of all ages. He has more than a decade of experience placing dental implants and has helped numerous patients restore their oral health and smile aesthetics. In addition to his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Koos has also obtained a medical degree and is one of only a handful of oral surgeons in the country to have a dual-degree. He then went on to further his education in a six-year intensive residency program involving general surgery, anesthesiology and oral and maxillofacial surgery. This extensive training allows Dr. Koos to provide unparallel, comprehensive care to all of his patients. Steven A. Koos, DDS, MD, obtained his dental degree at the Northwestern University Dental School and his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed a six-year residency in general surgery, anesthesiology and oral and maxillofacial surgery at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, Mt. Sinai Hospital and MetroHealth Hospital of Cleveland. Dr. Koos is affiliated with numerous professional organizations, including the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Computer Aided Implantology Academy, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American Dental Association, the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
