Christian A. Loetscher, DDS, MS, FADSA, is a highly skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeon who specializes in placement of dental implants, removal of impacted wisdom teeth and reconstructive facial procedures. Dr. Loetscher is a Fellow of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, one of the highest levels of achievement among doctors of dental surgery. He is the founder of the Norcross Study Club, one of Atlanta's premier educational forums for dental practitioners. Dr. Loetscher has written numerous articles for scientific journals and has lectured nationwide on implant, reconstructive and pre-prosthetic surgical procedures.
Dr. Loetscher performs a number of highly sophisticated dental and facial surgeries, including, bone grafting, placement of dental implants, orthognathic surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, wisdom tooth removal, and reconstructive procedures to treat facial trauma. He also performs oral pathology tests, sleep apnea and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder therapy, and facial liposuction.
Dr. Loetscher utilizes a number of leading-edge methods, as needed, to ensure the success of bone grafting. The platelet rich plasma (PRP) procedure allows Dr. Loetscher to harvest large quantities of platelets from a small amount of the patient's own blood. He then injects the platelets into the wound, which aids the healing process while increasing the amount of bone present. Through the use of the FDA-approved bone morphogenic protein (BMP), Dr. Loetscher has the ability to help patients grow bone where there is none. Dr. Loetscher holds advanced training in bone morphogenic DNA technology and has lectured extensively on the topic.

Christian A. Loetscher, DDS, MS, FADSA, earned his undergraduate education as well as his dental degree at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The Ohio State University. During this time Dr. Loetscher also obtained a masters degree in bone grafting. Dr. Loetscher holds numerous student awards as a testament to his academic success. He has extensive experience in both implant and reconstructive dentistry and has presented his research at several meetings of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the International Association of Dental Research.
