Help Alleviate Preventable Dental Disease and Tooth Loss
More than 108 million children and adults in the U.S. do not have dental insurance, two times the number not covered by medical insurance. As a result of this financial roadblock, many Americans forego the recommended maintenance schedule to the detriment of their oral health. In fact, approximately 75 percent of Americans have some form of periodontal disease, an inflammatory condition that is the leading contributor to tooth loss.
We feel it is important to tell you about some organizations that are devoted to alleviating preventable oral disease and tooth loss. We are helping these non-profit organizations with their missions and hope you will, too.

The National Children's Oral Health Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of pediatric oral disease and the promotion of overall health and wellbeing for economically disadvantaged children. The NCOHF brings together a group of dedicated dental professionals, industry leaders, philanthropic individuals and concerned non-profit agencies to help eliminate preventable childhood dental diseases.
Over the course of the next 10 years, the NCOHF network of affiliate centers will complete two primary initiatives:
- Treat five million (plus) of the most needy children through the development of more than 500 centers throughout the US, and
- Educate and screen 20 million (plus) children about the importance of dental hygiene through schools, community events and ongoing community based prevention activities.
